Discovering Your Photographic Voice
Are you proficient in the technical basics of photography yet struggle to find your own distinctive vision? Through a series of weekly assignments, this course will help you discover and develop the elements of photography best suited to you. Each week, students will email ten photos to the instructor and then share them with the group as you experiment with what you hope to say visually.
It is best to have a digital camera with interchangeable lenses although a camera on a phone will suffice. Students should be proficient in photographic basics and vocabulary, such as depth-of-field or shutter speed. Having knowledge of and access to Photoshop is useful but not necessary.
